Lights in the distance: Page 2

Pages two and three! I'm not crazy about this page to be honest. I tried Prisma colors, and I need a lot of practice with them. Maybe I'll get better as I finish the book. Hoping the next pages turn out better!

Lights in the distance: Page 1

Yay, first page done! I went with ink pen on this, as it's the best thing to get the creative juices flowing for me, but from here on out I hope to switch up the medium as much as possible.

Also, check out Andy's site to the right for his sketchbook pages in the near future. His theme is "Adhere to me." I mentioned Mike's sketchbook in my last post--his theme is "Dirigibles and submersibles." Word up!

The Sketchbook Project!

My sketchbook came! It may look like an ordinary sketchbook, but placed upon it's tan rear end is a barcode that will eventually be scanned, entering the sketchbook into the stacks at the Brooklyn Art Library. Check out the details at www.arthousecoop.com/projects/sketchbookproject! Here is my cat, Aurora, modeling with it.

I'll post pages from it here as I get them finished. My theme is "Lights in the distance." Also, check out the link to Mike's blog to the right, as he may be posting his pages as well.

Takin it to the streets

Back in business. Hopefully I can get a whole mess of stuff rolling in. Also I blasted my finger in a car door. It wasn't the reason for the lack of posts, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

City sketch

More Faces

From the last week. I haven't drawn in a long while, so I'm trying to get back into the game. It was pretty shaky there starting out.

Ninja Rap

From Summer 2009, for a super secret project.

Faces

These are from last summer, but I never got around to scanning them.
